Archery is an old sport that has been practiced by many for years and years. Back in the day it was actually considered more of a way of life or a beneficial way for human to survive rather than a sport, as it is considered now. In the past, it was used to hunt for animals or used in human wars. Nowadays various archery competitions are held throughout the country where different skills of the competitors are tested. Archery requires a good bow, an arrow, and having a good eye for focusing and aiming precisely at the target. During competitions, if an archer wants to win, he must use high-class equipment and demonstrate that he has the best skills compared to the other competitors.
Even though some people have great skills and they could engage in competitions, they prefer not to and simply practice archery as a hobby or a leisure activity. They may own their own archery equipment and go to shooting ranges indoors or they may go outdoors to shoot arrows at objects. If they don’t have their own equipment, they can go to places where they can rent, or ‘borrow” equipment for a one time use. There are many places in the country-indoors and outdoors-where people interested in learning archery can go. They have instructors available to help beginners learn the basic skills needed to practice the activity, and even help them gain advanced skills if they enjoy the sport and want to learn more about it. |
