| When given the task to write an article on handball I ran into the problem of not knowing what the sport was or what it consists of. My first step was to ask a few friends if they knew what it was or if they could tell me whatever they knew about it. Some said it’s a sport like dodge ball or hence the name. I appreciated the little information they gave me, but I felt I still didn’t know enough information to be able to an write entire article about the sport. So, my next step was to look it up on the internet. I did a search and found a few websites about handball, including the USHA or the United States Handball Association website, where web users can go to learn more about the sport, see the results of previously played games, see a calendar of upcoming tournaments and events, purchase merchandise, and even sign up to become a member of USHA. I clicked on several other websites and retrieved some definitions of handball and found some places where tournaments and events are held, including during the World Olympic Games, but still couldn’t gather enough useful information and didn’t feel comfortable writing a decent, factual article. So, instead I decided to write about the experience I went through in trying to write about the sport. ; ) racquetball. Others said it is a sport where the hand or fist is used to throw a ball against a wall. |
